Crazy Par 3

Check out this Par 3 at Legends in South Africa. The tee box is 1410 feet above the green, and you have to take a helicopter up to the tee box. It is the 19th hole, so it does not count towards your score, but it will apparently set you back $1000 if you want to play. Enjoy!

A couple of golf stories going in to the weekend

OregonLive.com had a couple of interesting golf related stories going into the holiday weekend.

The first is about a fire just off Pumpkin Ridge. If you played today you probably saw smoke, here is an explanation:

Pumpkin Ridge Fire

The second is about a former professional, who regained his amateur status, only to have it removed by the USGA for offering a large sum of money in a combination Poker/Golf Tournament.
