Pumpkin Ridge

I played Ghost Creek the other day, and it was in incredible shape! I played he round with the assistant superintendant of the course, and while he was humble about the course conditions, the course played extremely well. We were the first ones on the course in the morning, and the place was wide open. We got there a little early and it was still too foggy to tee off, so we headed to the range. I had no idea where my fist 20-25 shots ended up, which was kinda cool. Once we got on, the fairways were firm, even though it had rained the in the days leading up to our round. The greens were rolling very fast, he told me they were rolling at an 11! In November! It was nice to get out and play, since the weather hasn't exactly been cooperative. They are charging winter rates now, so get out there while you can!

Hello winter...

Well the rain has officially set in, and now we wait. While we can sneak in a round or two, it will be very sporadic. We will be postponing new course reviews, as it is not fair to the courses involved to rate them during the winter. We will however be adding new features in the coming months, and can report through this blog how courses are playing during these winter months. As we all know, some courses handle the rain better than others. Good luck on the course, and keep coming back for the best in Northwest golf!
